Devalin Jackson is the Family Technology Support Instructional Designer at San Francisco Unified School District. She leads SFUSD’s Personalized Learning Program and partners with community organizations, district and site administrators, teachers and families to connect student needs to technology resources. Prior to joining the Digital Learning Team, Devalin taught in classrooms spanning Pre-K thru second grade for over a decade. Devalin has always been committed to building and maintaining authentic Family and Community Partnerships and is excited to engage with this work within the Digital Learning Team.

First Grade Teacher
Cara Pavek is a 22-year veteran teacher with a Master of Science in Reading (K-12). She teaches first grade at A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS), a public lab school located on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Before teaching at ADHUS, Cara taught in high-poverty, Title I schools in Palm Beach County School District for over eleven years. She has presented at conferences, including ISTE, NSTA, FETC, and more. This past year, Cara published her classroom research in the International Literacy Association's highly respected journal, The Reading Teacher. Cara is also an ambassador for various ed tech brands, such as a Seesaw Certified Educator and an Epic! Ambassador.
